Video

Streamify handles all aspects of video delivery — transcoding, CDN distribution, adaptive bitrate streaming, and thumbnail generation.

Uploading videos

Upload videos from the Content → Videos section. Supported formats include MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, and most other common video containers. Maximum upload size is configurable per plan.

After upload, Streamify automatically:

1. Transcodes to HLS (multiple quality levels: 1080p, 720p, 480p, 360p)
2. Generates a thumbnail at the 10% mark (overridable)
3. Extracts duration and metadata
4. Makes the video available for streaming within minutes

Organizing content

Structure your library with:

• Categories — top-level groupings (e.g., "Courses", "Live Replays")
• Playlists — ordered sets of videos for sequential viewing
• Tags — flexible metadata for search and filtering
• Persons — associate videos with creators, hosts, or cast members

Connected YouTube library

When a YouTube account is connected under Integrations → YouTube, its connected channels appear alongside the Website's Streamify videos in Content → Videos. The library supports card and table views, submitted search, visibility filters for Streamify videos, and the shared Newest, Title A–Z, and Most viewed sorts.

YouTube entries remain remote and read-only. They cannot be edited, deleted, selected for Streamify bulk actions, or have their visibility changed from this library. Channel name, privacy, duration, views, and publication date are shown with each entry. If a connection is unavailable, local Streamify videos remain available and the library shows an inline reconnect, quota, or partial-results message.

Access control

Each video has an access level:

Level	Who can watch
public	Anyone, no authentication required
subscribers_only	Active subscribers on any plan
plan_specific	Only subscribers on designated plans
private	Not listed; accessible only by direct link (e.g., preview)

Trailers

Attach a free trailer to any gated video. Trailers are always publicly accessible and appear before the paywall prompt.

Live streaming

For live events, Streamify provides RTMP ingest endpoints. Push from OBS, Restream, or any RTMP-compatible encoder. Live streams appear in your content library and can be replayed after the event ends.

Video player

The Streamify player is embeddable and supports:

• Adaptive bitrate (HLS)
• Custom branding (logo, colors)
• Captions and subtitles
• Playback speed control
• Picture-in-picture
• Chromecast and AirPlay

Streamify-owned videos use the Mux-backed player. Embeddable connected YouTube videos use the official YouTube player inside the same Streamify player surface; videos restricted from embedding show an explanation and a link to watch on YouTube.
